Listen, Act, Transform
With over 30 years of experience as a social worker, I have dedicated my career to serving diverse and vulnerable populations, with a focus on empowering clients to transform their lives. My approach is rooted in meeting individuals where they are, viewing them within the context of their broader, dynamic systems, and addressing the needs of the whole person.
I find particular fulfillment in working with individuals navigating trauma, supporting neurodiverse clients, and serving as an ally to the LGBTQIA community. For me, success is realized when clients achieve their therapeutic goals and experience meaningful, lasting change.
Until recently, I also worked as a Behavior Consultant supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities within the Medicaid Waiver system. My professional development includes training in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) and advanced Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), specifically Healing the Hidden Wounds, which has prepared me to serve on Northeast Indiana’s Critical Incident Stress Management Team. In this role, I provide mental health support to first responders following critical incidents.
In addition, I am a certified Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner (SEP), and I am pleased to offer Somatic Experiencing coaching for personal growth on a private-pay basis—no diagnosis required—for those interested in exploring this body-oriented approach to healing.
